Top 07 Places to Visit in the World

Intro

The world is filled with amazing destinations to visit, but sometimes it can be difficult to choose where to go first. If you're looking for the best places to visit in the world, look no further than this list of top 07 places to visit in the world. These top 07 tourist places are sure to not disappoint, and will give you some much-needed inspiration when choosing your next vacation destination!

1) The Great Barrier Reef

Located off Australia’s northeast coast, you’ll find one of nature’s wonders: a chain of islands and coral reefs that hosts an array of sea life. Home to more than 3,000 types of fish—including rays, turtles and octopuses—the reef is an underwater playground for snorkelers and scuba divers alike. When you see it up close (and when your brain can process what you’re seeing), it takes your breath away. The reef even has its own coloring book (or coloring website) so kids around the world can appreciate its beauty too. Don't forget your sunglasses! There's nothing like laying on a white sand beach watching colorful fish swim by.

While most people think about Hawaii as paradise, if you travel to Maui there are many things to do while visiting beautiful Wailea Beach. Hiking through bamboo forests and waterfalls, dining at upscale restaurants or enjoying golfing are just some of things to do while on vacation in Maui. On Kauai there are hiking trails where you can take picturesque pictures of Mount Wai'ale'ale as well as visit historical sites such as Mission House Museum or hike through Waimea Canyon State Park with breathtaking views along the way. Oahu offers several tourist attractions including Pearl Harbor Memorials Center and USS Arizona Memorial where visitors can learn about history firsthand.

2) Sydney, Australia

The most populous city in Australia is also one of its biggest tourist attractions. From exploring Sydney Harbour and its famous skyline, to enjoying a large variety of arts, culture and historic sites, there’s something for everyone. If you love nature, head out on a guided tour through Blue Mountains National Park or take an overnight adventure camping with Kookaburra Camping Tours! For beachgoers who like luxury, head to Palm Beach and stay at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth or Fairmont Resort. Whatever your tastes, don’t miss out on all that Sydney has to offer!

Filled with tons of entertainment options and interesting things to see, it’s no wonder people travel far to visit Sydney. While many sights are free, others will require admission fees which can add up quickly if you want to see everything on your list. To save money while still seeing as much as possible, consider purchasing a City Sightseeing Hop On/Hop Off Tour Ticket that includes buses and access to several major attractiuons along a designated route throughout downtown Sydney! Check online for ticket specials as they run during off-peak season months often include discount tickets.

The Colosseum - Rome: One of Rome's greatest treasures, catch a glimpse into Ancient Roman history with a visit here before heading off to explore other must-see destinations in Italy such as Venice or Florence.

3) Edinburgh, Scotland

Edinburgh is renowned for its impressive medieval architecture and many historic sites. It’s also one of Europe’s most popular cities for tourists, and with good reason: there are plenty of places to explore, from royal palaces to historic battlefields. The Edinburgh Castle is a must-see—from here you can enjoy sweeping views over Scotland’s capital city. If you like history, head out of town (not too far!) to Stirling Castle. Another highlight is Holyrood Park, where outdoor lovers can take a hike or ride horseback along forest trails. There are plenty of museums to choose from as well, including The National Museum of Scotland and National Gallery of Scotland. And don’t forget about Edinburgh Zoo! This zoo is home to animals from all around the world, including lions, tigers, elephants and gorillas. You’ll want to spend at least two days exploring Edinburgh before moving on to your next destination. But wherever you go, make sure to book accommodations ahead of time; hotels fill up quickly during peak tourist season.

4) Venice, Italy

This city, built on water is an absolutely beautiful place that most people dream of visiting at least once. Although it is known for expensive hotels and restaurants, Venice is a must-see destination where you can easily walk around or rent a water taxi to see all its famous sites. The Grand Canal (and I’m not talking about Las Vegas) runs straight through Venice; there are many beautiful bridges that cross over it and you can enjoy just standing by one of them, watching boats float by. You don’t even have to leave your hotel room if you don’t want; they will actually deliver food and drinks from your favorite restaurant straight to your room. But who doesn’t love Italian food? It would be silly to miss out on eating some while you’re there! There are many churches and museums to visit, as well as shops and cafes along every street. Many tourists go back year after year because it never gets old! It’s definitely worth planning a trip here before all those other tourists get their chance! Oh, and remember: no shoes required! That's right - no shoes needed to tour Venice! Bring comfortable shoes though so you can walk all day long. Tourists do say that walking is the best way to explore such a unique city like Venice.

5) New York City, USA

One of my favourite places to visit is New York City. It has so much to do and see, it really is a place where everyone can find something they love. If you’re into sightseeing, Central Park offers some spectacular views of Manhattan at night that are picture perfect. If you’re into shopping, Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue offer some of New York’s fanciest shops – both high-end designer stores and well-known retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue or The Apple Store. And if you just want a great dinner, check out Nobu; Chef Nobu Matsuhisa opened his first restaurant on Park Avenue in 1994 and since then his restaurants have been frequented by celebrities around the world. For those who enjoy theater, there are plenty of Broadway shows to choose from and even more off-Broadway shows as well. There’s always something happening in New York City! I highly recommend checking it out for yourself.

For those who prefer a warmer climate, Miami Beach may be for you. Miami Beach offers everything you could ask for: warm weather year round, incredible food (invented Cuban sandwiches and pizza), tons of shopping (some say South Beach has more luxury brands than any other area in America), clubs (if dancing is your thing) and stunning beaches (with gorgeous people enjoying them). The city also hosts an annual event called Art Basel that attracts over 50,000 visitors each year to view artwork from artists around the world. Whatever your interests may be, Miami Beach has something for everyone! I highly recommend visiting sometime soon!

I personally recommend Rome as one of my favourite cities to visit when traveling abroad.

6) Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Bora Bora is a dream destination for many travellers. With its turquoise water, sandy beaches and abundant wildlife, it’s no wonder that tourists are flocking here. This gorgeous destination can be reached from within North America or Europe via Los Angeles, Honolulu or Sydney. If you plan on vacationing here make sure you secure your hotel booking early as this breathtaking location often sells out during peak times of year (New Year’s, Summer and Spring Break). Additionally if you want a private beach all to yourself take note that almost all resorts do not allow day-trippers on their beach areas. To visit Bora Bora but have more privacy than a resort offers consider staying at one of their private island retreats such as Motu Tapu or Motu Tane. The only way to get there is by boat, so be prepared for some travel time! When you finally arrive though, it will feel like you’ve entered paradise. Here’s why we love Bora Bora: It’s exotic – a French Polynesian island with black sand beaches, surrounded by white coral reefs. A luxury haven – Choose between five-star resorts or exclusive private islands, perfect for those who want complete seclusion while they relax. Water sports galore – There are few places better suited to water sports than Bora Bora; windsurfing, kite surfing and kayaking are just some of the options available. Adventure activities – For something different try horse riding through tropical forests and around stunning lagoons or zip lining through lush rainforests... Phew... Are you getting tired yet? Oh wait - we haven't even mentioned diving yet!

7) New Orleans, Louisiana

The Big Easy is known for its music and art, from Bourbon Street jazz clubs to paintings at Jackson Square. But there’s more to New Orleans than party. New Orleans is also a major sports town with a year-round schedule of pro sports, plus championship soccer and horse racing in season. Look for events such as French Quarter Fest (April), Essence Festival (July) and Halloween Carnival Parade (October). The city’s Superdome is home turf for football fans, and Mardi Gras—the city’s famous annual festival—draws more than one million people annually. If you visit outside football season, be sure to experience other attractions like walking along Canal Street or getting cultured at New Orleans Museum of Art.
